Anyway, Wednesday night I went over to the Triad Theater on West 72nd to see Yanna Avis play Sarah Bernhardt in DIVINE SARAH

Yanna and I are old friends. We met in Los Angeles through another Sarah, Lady Sarah Spencer-Churchill, who also was her own brand of Divine. Our Sarah, also known as Yanna, has had a long record of performances as a singer, and the actress is there also. I’d heard of Bernhardt when I was growing up and later when I attended the Neighborhood Playhouse back when Sandy Meisner was already the legendary [figure].
